Training

We are an accredited training practice for the training of General Practice Specialty Registrars (GPSTs). GPST’s are qualified doctors who now wish to work in General Practice and need to complete postgraduate training which includes at least 18 months training in General Practice.

Being accredited as a training practice means that we have been recognised for achieving high standards of patient care – something which we value and treasure!

You may find that on some occasions your doctor may be videoing the consultation. This is to help appraise the doctor’s communication skills and is used for teaching purposes and as part of our ongoing professional development. Of course, this will only happen with your consent and there is no problem if you would prefer not to be videoed.

The practice is also closed for an afternoon approximately 4 times a year for in-house staff training. Posters are displayed with dates.
